This Agreement constitutes a valid contract between you and LUCKY DAYS CO., LTD, the operator of Popvee Player, governing your use of the Popvee Player macOS client and related services. By downloading, installing, or using Popvee Player, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to all terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree with any term, please stop using and uninstall the software.
Popvee Player provides local media playback, local folders, NAS and supported cloud-drive connections, media-library management, metadata matching, AI subtitle generation, subtitle translation, casting, account features, and subscription-related services. Specific features are subject to the actual version of Popvee Player and the availability of third-party services. We may add, adjust, or discontinue features as the product evolves.
Certain features may require an account or subscription. You shall provide accurate registration information and properly safeguard your account and password. You are responsible for losses caused by voluntary disclosure, weak passwords, or unauthorized use. If you detect any account anomaly, please contact us promptly. Popvee Player does not provide services to children under the age of 13.
Video files, subtitles, favorites, watch history, and other materials that you play or import through Popvee Player remain your property. Popvee Player does not claim ownership of your media files. Third-party account credentials, including cloud-drive OAuth tokens, NAS credentials, TMDB API keys, and translation-service keys, are stored on your local device where applicable and are not uploaded to Popvee servers unless a specific feature clearly informs you otherwise and you actively enable it.
For Google Drive, Popvee Player requests read-only access solely to let you browse, locally index, and stream media files stored in your own Google Drive account. Google Drive original media files are streamed directly between Google Drive and your device. Popvee does not upload, transcode, proxy, or permanently store your Google Drive videos on its servers.
Popvee Player may integrate or invoke third-party services such as cloud-drive providers, NAS protocols, media servers, TMDB, subtitle or translation providers, and Apple payment services. Your use of the corresponding features may also be governed by the terms and privacy policies of those third-party services. We are not responsible for the availability, content compliance, or data handling practices of third-party services.
You agree not to use Popvee Player to: ① upload, play, or disseminate content that violates applicable laws or infringes the intellectual property rights or privacy of others; ② crack, reverse engineer, disassemble, modify, or misappropriate the code and resources of Popvee Player, except as permitted by law; ③ bypass payment gates or falsify subscription status; ④ interfere with normal operation of the service or impair the experience of other users.
Where paid features or subscriptions are offered, payments may be processed through Apple App Store In-App Purchases or other displayed channels. Auto-renewal, cancellation, trial, and refund rules follow the terms shown by Apple and in Popvee Player at the time of purchase. You may manage or cancel App Store subscriptions through your Mac System Settings or App Store account.
The intellectual property rights in Popvee Player and its constituent elements, including source code, UI design, trademarks, icons, documentation, and integration methods, belong to us or the respective rights holders. Except as expressly authorized, no party may copy, modify, distribute, rent, sell, or otherwise use the foregoing content. Open-source components embedded in Popvee Player are used under their respective open-source licenses.
Popvee Player is provided “AS IS.” We make reasonable efforts to ensure availability but shall not be liable for: ① functional anomalies caused by network interruptions, third-party service unavailability, or your network environment or equipment; ② losses arising from your breach of this Agreement or improper operation; ③ the accuracy, completeness, or fidelity of AI subtitle recognition, metadata matching, or translation results; ④ service interruptions caused by force majeure. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability shall not exceed the fees you actually paid for Popvee Player in the preceding 12 months.
We may revise this Agreement in response to changes in laws, regulations, product features, or business operations. The revised Agreement will be displayed in Popvee Player or on the official website. Your continued use after the update constitutes acceptance of the revised Agreement. If you do not agree, you may stop using and uninstall Popvee Player. This Agreement is governed by applicable law. For questions, please contact us at cloud@popvee.me.
